Patrick Jordan interviews Tweetie 2 developer

September 30, 2009

Here’s a great interview from Just Another iPhone Blog writer Patrick Jordan, who kicked up a dust storm with this controversial post about Tweetie 2 for iPhone being a paid upgrade.

What are the factors that are driving the whole ‘race to the bottom’ in iPhone apps pricing?  (really hoping you’re not going to say ‘posts [...]

September 29, 2009

Patrick Jordan of Just Another iPhone Blog is responding to criticism over his not agreeing with $3 upgrade price for Tweetie 2.0 for iPhone:

I have just said that there should be a full price and a lower  ‘upgrade price’ for current users.  Or more accurately, because Apple does not make it possible to do things [...]

Flickr iPhone app goes live

September 8, 2009

I just downloaded the Flickr iPhone app (iTunes link), but I haven’t tested it. It looks great, and the feature set described is near perfect. To boot, it is free.

I’ll save passing judgement until later, but at least one early review is not glowing, that from John Gruber of Daring Fireball.

But man, is this app [...]

B.iP. (Before iPhone)

September 8, 2009

A Counternotion by Kontra on life before the iPhone and why Apple is not evil:

One of the shiniest memes around recently has been the incessant banging of the “Apple’s evil” drum. Most notably written in endless self-indulgent and self-righteous detail about how one self-important person or another gave up the iPhone…because “Apple’s evil.”

Nice reminders of [...]
